Government Links

Natural Resources Canada, the federal government agency responsible for renewable energy, has a section of their web site that is devoted to ground source energy systems. This link provides a brief introduction to these systems and is a good starting point for independent research.

Natural Resources Canada has also developed two extensive resource publications:

  • Residential Earth Energy Systems – A Buyer’s Guide
  • Heating and Cooling with a Heat Pump

These documents provide valuable information that will help you decide what type of geothermal heating and cooling system would be best suited to your location and requirements.
