Quantum Geothermal is a leading installer of geothermal heating and cooling systems for new homes in southern Ontario
Floor Warming
Radiant floor warming (or hydronic heating) is another popular application that often uses a geothermal system. Basement floors are the most commonly heated areas, along with various coverage areas upstairs like foyers, bathrooms and other areas of your home that are traditionally cold under foot. All these areas can be keep warm and more comfortable with a radiant floor warming system. Floor warming systems are a common design feature in many of our new custom homes.
Garage floors can also be heated using a geothermal radiant heating system.
Geothermal heat pumps are well suited to floor warming applications and Quantum Geothermal has established partnerships with designers and hydronic heating contractors to offer a single source solution for new home construction projects with this added requirement.
As the system designers we insure the installed ground loop capacity outside is correctly matched with the requirements of the heat pump(s) inside. We offer a full range of design services and installation contracts for complete floor warming systems. There is a style of heat pump known as a water-to-water (W2W) heat pump that is used specifically for floor and garage warming applications. This style of heat pump replaces the need for a bolier fueled by natural gas or propane.
Installing a W2W heat pump provides an alternative to homeowners who are looking to reduce or eliminate their use of combustion equipment and the use of any form of fossil fuel in their homes. We encourage your family to research and consider the many energy efficint ways you can heat water for DHW systems. Take the time to talk with us.

Floor warming systems use warm water circulating through loops of plastic (PEX) tubing to warm selected area within a home. Geothermal heat pumps are often installed for this purpose and can be an excellent heat source in many applications.
Quantum Geothermal works with well established floor warming design and installation partners to bring an integrated solution to many of our new home construction projects.
